The new feature, still in testing phase in Canada, aims to connect users with local news and events in their communities.

How will it work?

To use the new functionality, users will need to register by entering their home address to start interacting with their neighbors.

Neighborhood will essentially function as a “mini app” within a dedicated section on Facebook. The content shared here will not appear on users’ main feeds but only within the restricted group.
